Hypnosis

 

I am so glad you are here!  


Hypnosis is one of my favorite tools to help clients neutralize and dissolve old thought patterns, limiting beliefs and traumas that are interfering with life. 


The definition hypnosis  is a highly focused state of mind – also known as an altered state of consciousness – whereby the subconscious mind is free to act without interference from regular consciousness.


 Hypnosis is simply a relaxed state where you focus your thoughts and energy inside, instead of focusing on the outside world.

 

Hypnosis is also a natural occurring state that we move in and out of throughout the day. Moments when you are driving and you didn't even realize how you got to your destination. This is a form of hypnosis. 


Let's  go a little  deeper into how it works:


The conscious mind, and subconscious minds are incredible parts of us and they have important jobs.


The Conscious Mind-  analytical, decision-maker, will power, thought generator.  For example you are using your conscious mind as you read and process this information. 


The Subconscious Mind-  controls the body, keeps the body safe, always looking for ways to protect you, and stores beliefs,



Now that you have some knowledge of your mind and what its job is you can better understand how real change work happens.  Most of the time we are trying to make change from our conscious mind but no matter how much will power we try to muster  up or how many plans we implement with the hope that this time "I will do it" but we continually fall short and then frustration sets in.  This is because the conscious mind can only store about 7-9 bits of information and uses about 10% of the mind and most of us try to make change from this part of our minds. So it makes perfect sense why change does not occur when only using a small part of  your brain to try to make the change.   


The subconscious mind is the real change maker. It is where all of your beliefs are stored, so in order to make lasting change , accessing the subconscious is effective and tremendously valuable. The amount of information used by the subconscious is unlimited and utilizes 90%  of the mind so it makes it the  perfect place to start to make change, and create lasting change. When you can communicate with the subconscious, you can feed it with powerful suggestions to help make your life more productive and more enjoyable.
